ELZORVAN Wood — furniture with grandchildren in mind

A wall of books is furniture, architecture and autobiography at once; the Podvecer carries all three — anchoring stated for masonry and stud, levelled at delivery, and extendable by honest bays when the library wins again.

The joinery works in solid oak, walnut and ash, air-dried three years before the saw earns its say. Frames are mortise-and-tenon, tops are breadboard-ended against the seasons, and finishes are oil and wax — surfaces that mend with a cloth rather than fail with a scratch.

Care

Oiled oak and walnut want coasters' logic and seasonal oiling: wipe dry daily, feed with the house oil twice a year, and lift rather than drag. Heat and water leave marks that the cloth-and-oil ritual erases.

Waxed surfaces refresh with a soft cloth; scratches retire under a fingertip of wax. Real damage goes to the joinery, which planes, patches and returns the piece to its own colour.
