ELZORVAN Wood — furniture with grandchildren in mind
The Trumeau is the dining room's quartermaster: drawers running on waxed oak, a baize-lined silver drawer if the canteen asks, doors closing on brass, and a back finished because good furniture has no bad side.
The joinery works in solid oak, walnut and ash, air-dried three years before the saw earns its say. Frames are mortise-and-tenon, tops are breadboard-ended against the seasons, and finishes are oil and wax — surfaces that mend with a cloth rather than fail with a scratch.

Care
Oiled oak and walnut want coasters' logic and seasonal oiling: wipe dry daily, feed with the house oil twice a year, and lift rather than drag. Heat and water leave marks that the cloth-and-oil ritual erases.
Waxed surfaces refresh with a soft cloth; scratches retire under a fingertip of wax. Real damage goes to the joinery, which planes, patches and returns the piece to its own colour.
Questions, Answered
Is the furniture solid wood?
Solid oak, walnut and ash throughout — tops, frames and drawers; veneer appears only where marquetry asks for it and is stated when it does. The chalk under every piece names the joiner.
